Seeds of Greatness

“And to one he gave five talents, to another two, and to another one, to each according to his own ability…”

Matthew 25:15

There are some people who live years and others a lifetime without ever knowing their gift(s).  Believe it or not, this is easy to do with all the distractions of our world.  I don’t know about you, but I have fallen prey to this trap.  I believed I was capitalizing on my gift, but I was actually attempting to live out a gift that wasn’t mine.

The Bible speaks about each individual receiving seeds of greatness, “according to his own ability.”  This means we are all gifted, but do you know your gift?  If you read the entire passage of Matthew 25:14-28, you will see most of the servants capitalizing on their gifts by adding to what was initially given to them.  However, there was one servant who hid his seed of greatness and did not increase His gifts/abilities.  We all have seeds of greatness, but have you recognized your gifts?
