Youth Outreach Program
Youth Outreach Program Director: Dr. Bryant E. Hall, Sr.
The Buena Vista Youth Outreach Program is a dynamic, vibrant, exciting, and unique program that caters to the needs of the Buena Vista Congregation Youth as well as Youth in our local community; in Grades 1-12. Due to the substantial growth of the program and as we have continually assessed the needs of our Youth; we have embarked upon the vision and journey before us to build a Family Youth Center. You can learn more about this wonderful, blessed initiative that was developed from the Vision of our Leader/Minister, Dr. Edward L. Hall, on this website.
The Youth Outreach Program’s purpose is to provide a spiritual environment for Youth to enhance their lives scholastically, spiritually, emotionally, psychologically, and physically – to edify them to become well-rounded individuals for society. Our Youth Program goals and initiatives promote the children to seek and live for God and be examples for others, but to set forth before them a great spiritual foundation that will be with them for the rest of their lives.
We strive to keep the Youth active, energetic, and exposed to various opportunities through activities including, but not limited to the following:
- "THE SPOT" Video Game Room
- Wil’Out Wednesdays (W.O.W.) (held every month, 1st Wednesdays)
- Be Heard Wednesdays (held every month, 3rd Wednesdays)
- Weekly Wednesday Night Dinner provided
- Mentoring Program
- Tutorial Program
- Road Trips (colleges, universities, theme parks, etc.)
- Field Trips (local parks, local libraries, local events, skating, Sky High, bowling, etc.)
- Lock-In events
There is also a Youth Outreach Program Planning Committee, that currently meets monthly to plan and coordinate annual evangelistic, fellowship, fun, engaging, and spiritual activities.
